Following an incredible June that celebrated everything from Grime to Jazz, we are keeping that same genre-defying energy alive right through July. We are kicking off the month with an exclusive book launch celebrating the history of UK skateboarding on Thursday 2nd, followed quickly on Sunday 5th by a massive 50th-anniversary vinyl listening party for Stevie Wonder’s Songs in the Key of Life in partnership with Beyond Vinyl.

Live music fans in Newcastle are spoiled for choice this month as we welcome back venue favourites and ground-breaking new acts. Highlights include a powerhouse double-bill from blues virtuoso Mitch Laddie and folk-pop artist Jo McGarry on Friday 10th, and an intimate afternoon of acoustic tunes, Q&As, and freshly baked pies with TV royalty Si King (The Hairy Bikers) on Sunday 12th. Later in the month, look out for the psych-funk headline debut of Solcade on Thursday 16th, a raw and unscripted night with the Jonny Boyle Trio on Friday 17th, and the vibrant Afro-Cuban sounds of Castillo Nuevo Orquesta on Thursday 30th.
